◐ TIMING

What's closing, what's opening.

ECO4 closes 31 December 2026. If you might qualify (low income or qualifying benefits + EPC D-G), apply now — funding is allocated first-come, first-served and supplier obligations are running down.

GBIS closed to new applications on 31 January 2026 and ended 31 March 2026.

Warm Homes Local Grant is rolling out via local councils through 2025–2028. Coverage and timing varies by area — check your council's energy/grants page.

BUS is confirmed running until 2030 with £2.7 billion budget. Air-to-air heat pumps and heat batteries were added in late 2025 with £2,500 grants.

Consumer Loan Scheme launches April 2027 with 0% interest loans for solar — useful if you don't qualify for grants but want help spreading the upfront cost.

◐ HONEST CAVEAT

This is a guide, not a guarantee.

Every scheme has detailed eligibility criteria — qualifying benefits often have specific income thresholds, EPC requirements vary, and local councils administer some schemes with their own rules. We're a first-pass filter to tell you which schemes are worth investigating.

Always confirm eligibility with the scheme administrator or an MCS-certified installer before assuming you'll get a grant. Installers handle BUS applications on your behalf, which is one reason getting an early quote helps.
